Ballroom Blast, September 24th, Atwood Ballroom, St. Cloud State University
This event is co-sponsored by the St. Cloud Ballroom Dance Club and the SCSU Cool Cats Swing Dance Club. It will feature a live band and a lesson in tango taught by Jeff Ringer. It will begin at 7:30 with a one hour lesson and continue until 11pm.
Minnesota Madness, October 22nd, Shakopee Ballroom
This is an annual dance festival in which dancers have an opportunity to receive feedback from judges about their dancing. It is not a competition. It begins at 10am and runs all day. It is a fun event. www.minnesotamadness.info
Snowball Dance Competition, January 13 and 14, 2012, Double Tree Park Place Hotel, St. Louis Park
This is a ballroom dance competition featuring mostly pro/am couples. That means students dance with their teachers and compete against other students who are dancing with their teachers. Amateur couples may participate as well but there are not as many of them.

Star of the North Amateur Ballroom Dance Competition, February 24, 25, and 26
This is a three day amateur competition in Minneapolis. It is the only all amateur competition in Minnesota and it is quite large. If you enjoy watching couples dance, this is an event you will not want to miss.
